Hi. I've 2004 Dodge RAM 1500. I'd like to know when it's on and off.
I'm thinking to re-programm it that it works from 0-1500 RPM then it goes to off mode and goes on from 3000 RPM and up and stays on.
So should i do it or not?

 

I dont think that MDS was available for 2004????

 

I'll make it easy for you, it's programmed to ALWAYS BE OFF!

MDS didn't debut in Ram Trucks until the '06 models...[&:]

 

MDS started in 2006... sorry.... you don't have the option...

 

Yeah you would know if you had MDS, i have it, and it sometimes gets really annouying

For those of you with an 06+ Hemi who'd like to know when the MDS is on or off, there is an easy way to put a small LED on your dash and tap into one wire at the PCM. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll either PM you or do it as a "DIY". I can't do pics of course since I have an '04 unless I can find some by searching...

 

If you don’t mind I would sure appreciate some info on how to connect a light to the MDS.
