Under-bumper airdam...affects mpg?
Other than forcing more air to pass through the radiator, does the under bumper airdam have any purpose for aerodynamics that could affect mileage? Managed to rip mine off, and dont see the need to install a new one unless gas mileage is adversely affected without it. Anybody know?
I read somewhere on here that someone did see a drop in mileage when theirs came off.
I bought my Hemi Ram used and it was missing, I didnt bother to put a new one on and my mileage is on track with everyone in the mileage thread, about 14-15 combined.

it will affect you mroe if you do a lot of highway driving at faster speeds. if you do 50/50 or less highway and aren't driving 80, I wouldn't worry about it.
Yea, twas a post a few months ago, here or another forum (I don't remember, see how much you remember when you hit 40[&:]) where the guy took it off to make his truck appear taller (yea, that deserves a [&:]too) and said he was pretty much unaffected in town, but lost a good 1-1.5 mpg on the highway...
At least 80% of my driving is spent between 75-95 mph, so I should probably get a new one. Dealer quoted me about $65 over the phone, but when I went to pick it up, I was told it is over $150! Where is the best source for one of these and at what price?
Your engine will be hotter.
Well if az didnt fix his bent rad why would you expect him to replace the valence.
