IM NEW TO THE FORUM. I WANTED SOME INPUT ON CAI'S. I PURCHASED A TWIN CAI FOR MY 3.7 AND I WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS THIS SET UP? HOW GOOD IS IT? ANY REGRETS??THNKS

 

no regrets really on mine...cause i paid $40 for it off of ebay. i can speak for almost everyone that has purchased like a $300+ intake in saying they regret paying for so much for performance gains. aethetically and audibly, that's another story.

long story short, you will get the same gains on an expensive twin intake as you would a single filter intake, and even a drop in k&n filter (at least on out engines). i've been told that by like every single place i have called to schedule a dyno (i called like 4 places). i like my intake cause it's simple, and it gets rid of the whole stock airbox assembly. worth every penny in my case. but, twin cones will definitely look badass.

$60!!!! thats cheap.i paid 80 for my full cold air intake but it has a K&N filter. I think i did see some with dual K&N filters for like $130. Does yours havesome or it is some other brand?

 

THER A DIFF BRAND. BOMZ I THINK. MAYBE LATER I CAN UPGRADE.

 

for $60 you got yourself a good deal. it'll be worth it alone to get the stock airbox and crap out of there...just make sure to get the bottom pieace out from under your airbox...it's so worth it. many people say it isn't, but it is.

as for the need to upgrade brand, no need for that at all man. when your filter's all dirty and what not, just go ahead and throw some "upgraded" air filters on there, like k&n or something.

anyways, i'm glad you like the forum. but, you seem to be antsy about getting mods onto your truck. do what you can and post frequently to, like i said, make this v6 section a little more hopping than it is. it's one thing to hope df gets HUGE, but it starts little at a time. help me make this place the v6 section to goto on the web...
