I just received a woodgrain face plate for my 08 qc 1500 and I had to remove the froward console and the lower center trim and "2 screws in the bottom of the stock face plate". I didn't replace them for the re-install. So the factory used the screws in mine.

it depends on the center console you have. the mini console stick shifts come with has the screws.. the big center console has screws. but the one with just fold down cupholders.. no screws. from what i've seen.

Default Need help

Hey guys I have 2008 quad cab ram 1500 (Big Horn Package) with a fold up cup holders and I need to remove my factory radio to install bluetooth car kit. I guess i'm a little confuse with the removal of the radio bezel. When you refer to the radio bezel do refer to the nice silver molding around the radio or are you guys refering to the entire thing including the fold up cup holders. I need help guys please help me to remove my radio so can install my bluetooth thanks in advance for your help.

it is the whole surround that has two vents in it. Silver in most trucks.

You need top remove these 2 screws. Then the bezel just pulls off. it has clips holding it on.

The hard part is, you have to remove the center console to get at the screws. Start by pulling the top of the console up. It's only held on by clips. You have to pull pretty hard, but it will start to come up. Then unbolt the lower part from the floor, then the trim pieces from below the bezel need to come off, then you can get at the 2 screws facing upwards. I left them off, and put everything back together, now when I need to pull the bezel, I don't have to touch the console at all.

Only fold down cupholders have it easy. If you have the mini console for a stick shift or the full center you pry on that bezel and your gonna break it.
