I have a 2008 1500 HEMI Quad Cab with the factory tow package. When I hooked up my 28 foot travel trailer, the added weight caused my rear brakes to grind as though the parking brake was partially engaged. I turned off the ESP but no change. I use a 12000 lb weght distributing hitch and the grinding noise si present with our without the weight distributing bars, I disconnected the trailer to truck electrical connection, but no change. The noise is only heard when loaded. I towed this trailer for several years with a 97 Dodge Extended Cab 1500 with a 5.9L and NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS.[:@]
