You can probably get them to look like black chrome. Buy chrome handles and then coat them with Night Shade spray on window tint by VHT. It should give you the black chrome look.

wont work. i tried it, not on my truck but on another chrome object just to try. the nightshades are actually a greenish color when not painted heavily. to get the black appearance you have to put a good amount of paint on and by that time its too dark and no chrome shows....pretty much like a gloss black paint.

Maybe have a can of paint made. There is a place around here called Automotive Paint Supply, they can make you like 15-25% black and the rest clear. That might make it look like you want.
