Man, I didn't know such things exist! Aluminum would seem to be WAY too soft for that purpose. What exactly are they supposed to do?

I can only find them in aluminum but I read up on the grade of aluminum and it is supposed to be one of the best around. The studs themselves are are made of grade 8 steel which is also supposed to be pretty tough too. They push your wheels out for better stability. Help prevent rollovers. The aluminum grade is 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum.

I thought that's what you meant. Your rollover risk is minimal, but pushing the wheels out more will put too much strain on the wheel bearings.

No different than running a wheel with alot of back spacing. As long as you don't get ridiculous with them they are fine. I run them on my rear axle so that the width is the same as the front(Ford D44 up front, GM 14 bolt rear).

If your just looking to make your truck look like a roller skate then i would say don't bother.
