I am sorry if this was posted before, i did read most of the threads and did not see anything related.

I have an '06 2500 Laramie with the 40/20/40 power leather seat option.

The center console / seat is bolted to the support and does not move fore or aft. This arrangement does allow anyone over 2'6" tall to sit there.

What a stupid design!

I want to redesign mineby putting in a slider assembly so that i can move the console back if needed.

I can make my own but was wondering if anyone knows of a slider unit that will require the least modification and also if anyone has done this already.

just do it yourself man. i don't think that they make something pre-fabbed for ya. just do it yourself, and you'll be happy. i was thinking of just bolting the seat further back, and calling it done.

The 7 foot tall african guy at the dealership fit in the middle seat of mine. He looked funny as hell too.
