So after you guys put up with my other thread "Looking to buy", I did buy. I bought an '07 1500 QC 4x4 Hemi chrome 20's w/ 22k miles on the clock for $16k. Dang it's a beautiful truck!! I got it last weekend, right after the terrible storms went through Indiana and a tornado touched down about a mile from house. If I had bought it the day before, a large limb would have landed on it. Good fortune there. ![Smile](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The truck does have a bedliner but the rest is stock. I guess I will be looking for upgrade suggestions soon. My wife has said that stepbars are the first mod, since she can barely get into it! Then I suppose gas mileage mods would be next!
I'm loving it so far, except stopping by the gas station!

Congrats on the purchase, it looks good.
Yea, the price of gas REALLY makes it a buyer's market. I was looking at trading my '04 in on a 2500 CTD 4x4 a year ago, and balked about the lousy $16,000 they offered me in trade.
Since you just paid that for an '07 4x4, I'd shudder to think what I'd get now...

Yeah, I'm glad you like your truck, kinda depresses me though that you only paid $16k for it though... hmmmm... Oh well, I plan to keep mine till the wheels fall off... I would say let the modding begin, but I know with me, gas prices have kept me from do anything to my truck lately...[:@][:@]

They had it marked down to 18,995. They said they took it in trade in February and had 19.5k in it. I severely doubt that, but they really didn't want to budge on it. They technically didn't come down on the price, but they finally gave in and upped my trade-in by $2500 to make it work. It's probably going to be easier to sell the 4cyl Mazda 6 I traded in, then to let this beast sit on the lot for several more months.
Patriot Blue is my favorite color, with Cool Vanilla a close 2nd. I actually tried to buy an '06 cool vanilla with 16k miles on it, but they wouldn't budge on the $22k sticker price at a different dealer.
I feel comfortable with the deal I received, and I suppose that's all that really matters. I'll have to keep it for a long time though, because if I tried to turn around and sell it, I'd probably still be out at least $6k!
