I have a new 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with a hemi. How can I tell if I am running on 4 cylinders?

you can't. there is no light or sign. LOL @ Ramitone. The only way i have heard of is with an after market exhaust you can hear it as for when driving, you can't.

if you get your self anedge evolution you can have it show you when the MDS kicks in.

 

With stock mufflers you can't tell the difference. I have a flowmaster 40 and when the MDS kicks on you can really here it. It makes an awful drone sound, it sucks! So in city driving below 50 mph I drive with the overdrive off, that way the MDS doesn't kick on.

 

Theres a DIY floating around the forum somewhere with instructions on how to wire in an LED to tell you when MDS kicks in.
