Trading in truck to a dealer?
Back in december my truck was worth $18,700 private and $15,700 dealer trade in...Now its $14,700 private and $10,800 dealer trade in. My gf and I are looking to get another 4 cyl car cus these gas prices are insane its up to $4.32 a gal for reg fuel. Will a used dealer even except a truck right now with the way things are going? If its worth $10,900 on kelly blue trade in will i get that? I am lookin at making a even trade and getting something else for around 10 or 11 thousand. I noticed the dealers are still selling them out for around $15,000 to 16,000 so they will still profit right?

WOW $4.32 That's cheap! It's up to $4.50 at least!
CHeck the value on http://www.nadaguides.com/usedcars.a...p=1&f=5004i am told that dealers are useing NADA not KBB any more.
Seems that dealers are not really takeing in too many or any trucks/suv's now. You may loose thousands on trade (if you owe) in or just spend hundrds on gas, that's what they said on dateline.

Nops, dealers are doing 20-35% less than kbb trade in for trucks.
Think about how much more its gonna cost you for trading in your upside down truck vs paying a bit more than your truck. Yue 4 banger would def need to get 30+ mpg and drive a lot to make it financially smart.
How many more months till your trucks paid for? Even if your finance the same amount as your orig purchase so your monthly stays the same, you'll still be paying on it longer with the new veh. Let's say you did a 48 month plan and youre halfway done. So then when you're originall 48 months would be over youd still have another 24 months of payments. How much of a savings is that?

Everyone is felling the pain at the pump. It is not going to change. Just imagine what us diesel guys are going through. Adapt to the price. Get a motorcycle or something. As for the posting probs, one on the admins said the site was hacked a few days ago.
