What's you MPG?
Over the last 81,511 miles, I have averaged 14.3 MPG. That includes about 8000 miles of driving with my rear brakes dragging because I couldn't figure out why my mileage dropped. It also includes about 12,000 miles of driving with chunks of my rear differential floating around in there. Same reason as before, I couldn't figure out why my mileage had dropped. If I exclude those, I get about 17 MPG on the highway and about 13 MPG in the city with an overall average of about 15 MPG or so. The best mileage I've ever got was 18.871 MPG. That was all highway driving and doing my best to get the best mileage I could get by laying WAY off the gas whenever possible. I didn't drive slow, but I stuck to the speed limit. The worst I ever got was 8.453 MPG while towing an 18 foot camper and not using overdrive at all. This is all calculated at every fill. In case anyone is wondering, I've found that my overhead MPG indicator is fairly accurate. I have a 2003 Ram 1500 QC with the 4.7 liter engine. It's a 4X4 with the 545 RFE automatic transmission. It has a 3.92 gear ratio.
timothy, check your brakes. It's possible that they might be dragging, especially the rear brakes since they typically will get the least amount of attention.

Stax,
Also have an 04, but a short bed 4X4. Have the 20's, 3.55 rear and fairly stock. Here in the hills of northwest Jersey, I average about 13 in town, but fight to maintain 18 mpg on the highway by keeping the speed below 70MPH. Those numbers reflect a gain of about 1 1/2 mpg by increasing the psi to 44 front, 40 rear and going 100% synethic. I lose about 2 mpg city (not much on the highway) driving in the winter.
