New intake = Engine check light

Default New intake = Engine check light

so this morning i put in the new K&N intake on the truck and when i switched the electric plug the check engine light came on and will not go off. does it have to be reset of what doi do exactly to fix it? thank you for all your help

disconnect negative for a few min. might fix it.

Make sure the IAT sensor was fully seated and plugged in. If its not it will throw a code quickly.

It'll go off on it's own after several full ignition cycles without reproducing the code...the battery thing works too. You shouldn't have gotten a code to begin with...did you start the engine with the IAT unplugged?

well im gonna try the batter thing and see if that works but no i did not start the truck with the IAT unplugged. i replaced everything i needed to from OEM and made sure that its plugged in all the way. hopefully the battery works

check all the sensors and if there all connected then disconnect the battery and that should do it.
