they pay more attention to the way they drive. more careful driving means increased mpg. the biggest gains in mpg come from your right foot.

i don't think there are many performance mods out ther ethat will give you higher mpg. hell, i heard from many people that a superchips would bump it up, but the last 2 weeks are showing that i lost .5 mpg driving the same way i always drive, even filling at the same pump. .5 isn't too significant, but it sure isn't the 1-3 mpg gain that some claim.

i just installed the k&N fipk and it shows me at 22-23 mpg highway
my avg before was 20.5

i still step on it [X(]

 

i dissagree because i did the test between 65 and 70 before and after the CAI and did notice an improvement with the CAI on.

 

I hand calculate my mileage after each fill up and track it on an excel sheet. Since I installed the spectre CAI my driving habits (speed and route driven) haven't changed, yet I picked up 1.3 mpg. Granted, a good part of that is probably because my old filter was dirty and needed changing anyway.
