You get cheap....or you get good. If you are looking for cheap, its alright. If you are looking for good performance there are better out there.

Just remember this....most of the intakes out there only make power way up in the RPM range and dont nothing at all and can have an adverse affect in the low RPM range. This in city driving will actually cost you MPG. So if I were looking for a CAI and drove only on the hwy I would find one that is a straight piece of smooth tubing with any type of cone filter on it. This would net you some power and some MPG. However...if I did anywhere even near 50% of my driving in the city I would avoid this design and find one that tapers from a wide opening, necking down to the throttle body. Because this design generates torque ie power at a lower RPM and that means I'm not pushing my pedal down nearly as far to get a reaction out the lead balloon I call my Hemi Ram.

So for me.....RAMHAMMER by Hammer Automotive. Only choice out there worth considering.

I've got that CAI on my truck, got it a little over two weeks, and 450 miles ago. Picked up 1.3mpg after installing it.

if you're getting the spectre system, search on the forum what people have done to keep the mounts from cracking, they are infamous for that. It's an easy fix, so don't let that keep you from getting it. You can also pm nick (airram) and ask him.

The one I got has a big rubber spacer for the heat shield and the intake tube to pad it from the fenderwall. I haven't noticed any signs of wear or cracking yet.

I will never understand how people figure they are getting noticeablybetter MPG by adding a CAI.
