You are right, I am covered. But if it stays in the shop consistantly, what good is the truck?

The 45rfe is a big improvement.
Anyone having an issue with the current model year has a defective product. Its not indicative of all rams.
Why did you go from a SFA to a IFS

I had a 33ft travel trailer and I sold it. I no longer needed the 3/4 ton diesel. The Ram was a good buy and with the new generation tranny, I decided to give it a try.

youll be happy. Do you still tow anything? At your first tranny fluid change you may want to look into amsoil and maybe putting in a tranny t stat.
I'm a big amsoil fan. Also if you do a lot of city driving an E fan would be a good idea vs the fan clutch.

Do you have limited slip? Dodges LSD clutch pack retainer clips have been known to fall off, hence the 15k intervals for diff fluids.

I am not towing anything at this time. I am going to give the new tranny a chance and keep an open mind. I will keep Amsoil in mind when my first fluid change comes due. As for the limited slip, I decided against it. I am a fan of the true locker rearend.
