We insulated our AIR RAM systems but they are no longer available. Honestly, you would see GREATER gains by removing the resonator... or intake "MUFFLER" which is otherwise known as the "HEMI HAT" effectively making a FULL LENGTH intake. The Resonator is more restrictive then the filter box you replaced with your current intake.

You can insulate your intake if you wanted to keep the air cooler. YES it is worth the time, some will say the air moves too quickly through the intake to make a difference... although the air moves quickly through the intake, the heat of the intake does radiate into your incoming intake air charge.

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM

Get a K&N with the box, itll hellp not suck in so much hot air off the engine. The plastic tubes give you a little more HP over the metal ones also.
