do they just clip on to the oem black or totally replace. i want one that will totally replace. not a fan of clip on bull shiznit

My perimeter was a "cover". It bolted on over the stock grille.

hmm i'll have to look into it by perimeter do you mean the white surround?

No, the "perimeter" is a surround attached to the grille itself. The white surround is a grille bezel. Look close in a corner of my grille and you can see its all connected. Alot of grilles leave the end open and hanging not connected to anything.

My Ram came with the chrome grille with the base black honeycomb grille factory inserts. Personally, I did not care for them and bought the factory chrome inserts from an eBayseller that was also a Dodge dealer for around $110-$120. Theinserts are heldin by plastic rivets that are easy to remove.The new grille inserts come with a packet of new "rivets" that push in by hand.
I did have to remove the entire grille assembly from the truck to more easily change out the inserts but it was a piece of cake. A little more than an hour and I was done... and very happy with the factory parts.
