I am getting my catback done tommorrow morning with 2.5 inch pipes and a 1 in 2 out magnaflow muff out the back. My question is this, what resonators would you remove the front, rear, bothor none? Are there anypros or cons either way?? performance/sound etc.....

 

There is only one resonator and it is located about 2feet from the end of the tailpipe. I also see you have an 03, Im pretty sure the 03's didnt come with a resonator, just 04-up has it. A stock 03 should only have 1 catalytic convertor and 1 muffler.

 

OOOOPPPss didn't know that I thought they all had at least one on them. I haven't looked under there lately so I can't say for sure. I will take a look 1st thing in the morning. But isn't the resonator the huge cans under there.

 

The huge can is the muffler....take some pics of your exhaust and post em up on here

heres how my 02 was set up. i cut out my resonator and welded in a straight pipe though. im looking to cut out my cats too.

cut out everything after the cats and replace wth magnaflow 5x8. no res/muff/whatever at all.
