Default No Red Line

Hey all. I was just wondering why there is no red-line on my tach? Does this mean that the 4.7 is capable of 7000 RPMs or did they just leave it off b/c they don't expect a truck to ever go that hi?? Any input will be appreciated.

Well, if you put it in 1st (going to assume auto) and hit it and stay in it the rev limiter should kick in.

the PCM redlines at 5500rpm I believe. The only way to get past that is a custom tune and/or cams.

I never even looked that far up the dial. I get anxious when I don't shift before 2500 rpms with these gas prices!
