Well, after alot of reading here and other sites, and driving countless different makes and models of trucks, I went and bought myself an 04 Ram 1500 Hemi Sport 4X4. Sport Appearnece Group, Trailer Tow Group, Hemi Sport Group, five speed auto, electronic shift on the fly transfer case, 3.92 rear, leather steering wheel, 20X9" wheels, Underrail box bedliner, alarm and remote start. I love it. Gas mileage is horrid, but I havn't driven it much, and knew what I was getting into when i bought it, so I am not complaining. Currently at between 9.7-10.1mpg. Nice. Don't park it too close to the Chevelle though, I wouldn't want the truck to catch some virus or something!
Start saving for a spray-in Line-X bedliner though.
Under the rail or not, you'd be better off without a bedliner after you see what that thing will do to your paint underneath.

Yea, I'd say go for Line-X too. I took the chance and went with SpeedLiner. It's quite soft and scraps easy. It has a life-time warranty on it, but I hate bringing it in constantly.
