Default Wideband Sensor location.

I installed a wideband gauge. I had the bung welded about 4-5 inches below the factory 02 after the cat. My gauge display is very slugish and unless giving more than 70%+ throttle it hardly changes from 14.6-14.8:1. When WOT it will show around 10-13:1 but the display starts the change about 3-8 seconds after going WOT.

Is all this sluggishness from it being after the cat. I know the readings wont be as accurate after the cat, but I did not know it would be this slow in reaction time. The guy that welded it said it was the easiest spot to get to. Before the cats would have been alot more labor because he would have had to remove the cat to get the weld in.

You are not supposed to put it after the cat. You MUST put it before the cat.

You want to read the actual A/F coming from the engine.

The cat's job is to clean the unburnt fuel out of the exhaust, so the rear position has already been cleaned by the cat.
