I just got a great deal on a used Ram 1500 SLT 5.7 V8 Hemi and Im loving it... I was just curious to know if the truck has remote keyless entry. All the dealer gave me was the Ignition key. It has power everything inside icluding power locks so i was hoping I could have Remote Keyless Entry. If not which system(alarm) would you reccommend that I get for my Truck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it probably did from the factory. that truck was pre sentry key i think. where all the keyless buttons and stuff were on the key itself. like mine... which idk if i like key is so freakin big lol.

moving on. You should be able to either just get a new remote and program it. or put an aftermarket one on. Idk how these trucks are but i've looked into doing mine for an alarm and whole ton of stuff and it can be difficult.
but without my system at work i can't really tell. but probably won't be too ugly to do.

 

If you PM me the last 8 digits of your VIN, I can tell if your truck came with keyless entry from the factory. If it didn't come with it, you can add the factory keyless for about $100.00. And can install it yourself in less than an hour...

 

go with that way. aftermarket one is a pita to hook up. I looked it's ugly lol.
