Since someone herejust got a new train horn, it got me really excited about one. does anyone have any suggestions for something with the best sound for the best price? one person recommended this one- http://www.jcwhitney.com/FIAMM-TECHN...2553_10101.jcw -does anyone have any experience with these or know if theyre good?I want something for around that price with everything included.I dont really care if they not as loud as a real train horn, just maybe more like an 18 wheeler horn.

 

the peddler got a set like that, he said he liked it and it was a good bit louder, but if you want train horns. you cant expect to get away with $30

 

yeah, i have been looking at them for a while.... a real kit is going to run you around $300. comes with the horns, tank, compressor and all the lines you will need.

 

ya, a little pricey, but if you want the real stuff that kinda what you can expect to pay. but i dont see anything wrong with the $30 electrical horns. and as i said the peddler says theyre great and i take his word for it.

 

I had them for like 4 seconds.

They sound like a clown car.

 

what could i get for under $100? I know around this price i could something much closer to a train hornwithout spending $300.

 

if you are looking for that deep truck/train type of sound, you're going to have to find something with horns that are in the 10-12" range. I posted that link, It won't sound like a 'clown car' but horns that short wont come close to the low frequency of train horns.

 

For around $30 bucks they sound good!!! They do not sound like a clown car,but if you want a true train horn it will cost you.
