Break Upgrade 05 SLT
I was wondering if there was a decent break upgrade kit (calipers, rotors, pads...everything) for an 05 Ram 1500 SLT 4x4....i hate the stock breaks (im used to the Brembo's on my SRT8 Charger
...but i didnt see any for the ram so far)...so i was hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction here....
Thanks!

i upgraded to calipers from an 07 and then bought some Baer driller & slotted front and rear rotors along with pads....calipers i got for free, and the rotors & pads cost me like $500 from moe's performance.....seems to work out real nice together, brake pedal has very little travel now compared to before and it seems to stop alot quicker

OEM Calipers from an 07 are that much better than the 05?....
My preference would be a full Brembo system but like i said...i didnt have much luck finding it for the truck...

I got brembo rotors for my 03 off of tire rack. Did you check there?

They Have just brembo rotors, and then I got a diffrent brand of pads, but they had three diffrent brembo rotors, and I bought4 to replace the front and back, I did the front, but the back is still sitting here in my room. lol

I went with the first set of brembo replacement rotors and Akebono ProACT Ceramic Pads, but they had Brembo sport drilled or soprt slotted.

it looks like Brembo has kits for it....only i think $4k is a LITTLE excessive for the truck at this point hahaha....
I will probably end up getting the slotted rotors down there...i wish you could see em through the wheels but performance over appearance!!

yeah the calipers from the 07 and up are much better then the previous yrs...not sure why, the guy i have contact with at TRW just told me these would work out much better, so i took his word for it and he was right
air ram has a front brake kit on his site: http://www.airram.com/product.php?ca...;productid=716
I don't see the need to upgrade the rear brakes, since the majority of braking is done on the front wheels
