Don't have any pictures of it thanks to a crashed harddrive but my bumper on my 03' is bubbling up paint and peeling. on both sides where the bumper wraps around the side of the truck right at the edge. pretty cheesy for paint to start peeling on a five year old truck. anybody seen similar problems? So I think instead of having it repainted to factory color which isn't going to match the rest of the truck im sure...i want to go gloss black and maybe even it up by painting the center piece of the front bumper (sport bumper) that holds the license plate black aswell.

 

also have an 03, but with chrome. the back side of my bumpers are not looking to great either

 

hmm what a shame. I think the black bumper idea on the graphite color of the truck would look pretty nice. plus I have the factory 20's painted black but left the outer lip chrome

 

your gallery pic is not working. i'm trying to imagine your truck with black bumpers. i think it may not look good. from afar it may look like you just took bumpers off of a base model. you should do some photochopping....

 

thats why im thinkin with that middle piece on the bumper it would look smoother

quit your bitching... I have a door seam on lower cornor of the drivers door that is rusting, dodge will not reapair it beacuse it has not rusted threw, and I have a 06ram.

Dodge bodys rust as quick as the hemi goes...

I think black bumper would look alright as long as you only do that part that wraps around, where the fog light is. If you do any more than that it will start bad. It's going to have to be a damn good paint job to look good at all though.

 

yea i painted those at my uncles body shop, they need to be redone because it was only done with trim paint. if and when i do the bumpers i want to do it all the same black and give the wheels a nice clearcoating too because last time around it was just the trim paint and its going to **** all fading and chipping and what not. the only thing i would paint black on the front bumper is the cross piece that holds the license plate right under the tow hooks. I think painting anything else on the front bumper wouldn't mesh too nice being that the bumper ties into the front of the truck so much.

 

yeah, painting just the center section would be cool. would definitely be different.
