Default Celebrate! we have great trucks

Just got back from a run to Oceanside, CA from Salem, OR doing the I-5 blast straight through. Had my new Leer canopy on to cover the coolers, luggage, etc with 4 people in the cab. AC was on about 100% of the time and we kept it right at 70, even when you climb the Siskiyou's (5000 ft). 2100 miles total. averaged 15.86 mpg with a high of 20.25 mpg on that horrible stretch between Sacramento and LA. I have the laramie edition with leather and it is really comfortable. I would rather drive it on this kind of trip than my BMW.

The Ram with Hemi is an awesome truck!

Mine is a Laramie also and is very comfortable. We get acceptable gas mileage and will continue to drive it till the wheels fall off.

Lol, same here, love the way it drives, seats are good too, I have a SLT. We always take the Hemi on trips cause it is the safest, and mostcomfortable. I have said before I will never get rid of my Ram, and plan to just run it into the ground, rebuild it, and do it all over again!

I'll be honest and say I was planning on trading mine in on an '09 until our trade-in values plummitted... Instead of taking such a huge hit on it, I've decided to keep it forever. I love my truck, but I am looking for a smaller used car to keep the miles off of it, and to save a little on gas. My company pays my mileage, however they also have me put way too much on it, and up-keep on our trucks is a little more than a car..

For personal use though, it'll always be in the Ram. It's big, safe, and just fun to drive... With me being 6'5", it's also one of the only rig's I can fit comfortably in.

I love my truck. Gotta say it has a lot more room than my chevy did. We took a short trip with 2 babies and 4 adults in the Ram and we had plenty of room. No way in hell that was happening in the chevy...

well, i gotta tell you, my former ram 03 3500 quad cab diesel dullie 2 wheel drive was very comfortable on my Deming, NM/San Jose, CA jaunts.
my ram 05 3500 diesel dullie 4 x was a little less comfortable.
now i have a ram 5500 cab chassis no bed, just fenders, use it for a tow vehicle with a 20,000 lb hitch plate tow behind, without a trailer it is miserable, any suggestions?

it is a beautiful truck, i always baby my trucks with service beyond that which is required. plan to keep it until technology increases to the point it warrants a replacement.

not much you can do about that. it's a big truck designed for a lot of weight. although, you might be able to put on some sort of air shock or suspension that you could adjust depending on demand.

Haha, I love these Rams. My first truck, well anything I drove was a 02 Ram 1500 QCSB 2wd 4.7 [:@] I still have it, I WILL drive it till its wheelse fall off , no matter what my dad says about getting an econo box[:'(], I will always drive Dodge Trucks, I perfer it over everything. I'm still mad weak today I got 21 MPG, so my dad was like if you can save gas this good lets get you a Hemi with MDS, I can't wait. I'll video the 21 MPG run next time, haha if I have my camera nearby. PM me if you want to know some tricks. I feel soo safe in my Ram. I love the fact i'm filipino/white, and i'm the only asian driving a v8 truck, let alone a domestic in my school. Haha, I eat honda's and acura's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
