Wouldn't do you any good in Colorado! everywhere I have gotten gas here has been pay at the pump or pre pay! But to scam gas here they are drilling a hole in your gas tank and draining it! I'd rather replace a license plate then a gas tank any day!

Yeah, but I actually have a torx driver for that style security screw...it was in something I used to own so I had to buy a driver to remove that style screw. Not sure too many people have it, but you can buy the driver for it.

Thanks everyone, I ended up going to an autoparts store and getting 2 differents types. One is a torpedo shaped that comes with a special wrench and the other is the torx with a pin in the middle and it also comes with a special wrench. I put both on so hopefully they'll leave it alone.

The cops did tell me that they are stealing plates and stealing gas and when the attendant reports it they come back as stolen plates and it makes it hard to find them.

The only good thing that came from this is the DMV only charged me $6.25 for new plates, I was figuring on $50.00 like a renewal fee.
