let the torque of the 5.7 move you, not the H/P The 5.7 is not bad on flue, better than a 3v 5.4 ford ( my 3/4 ton hemi gets so much more out of a tank than my last F-150 )

I dont see how yall are getting great gas mileage. I bought my truck brand new and it now has 4500 miles on it and since day 1 until now, it has been getting less than 13 mpg, that is pen and pad math, not based off the overhead liar. I have a quad cab 4x4 with hemi. I drive very easy, no take offs and never over 60. I have tested the interstate and back roads. Makes no sense why mine is getting such bad mileage and yaw are getting 20+. I also run 89 octane, just like the manual says to run.

A lot of people think they drive easy but in reality they don't...not as much as they could anyway. If you're going over 2,000rpms when accelerating in town or freewaythen you're not driving easy. I know your truck is new but you could be getting access drag from somewhere also...probably not but ya never know.

13 mpg is terrible. I went on a camping trip last weekend and got 13.3 mpg pulling 1500 pounds of trailer, 5 people, a bed full of gear and a dog. That 13.3 is from pen and paper too. i don't have the overhead console in my truck. That's also with regular 87 octane.

I do have an mds light installed and tried to keep the light on as much as possible on the first half of the trip. Didn't bother on the way back because I just wanted to get home.

I didn`t notice much difference from unloaded. A bit at high speed maybe but not too much.
