Default NEED TO HAVE MY VEHICLE PAINTED.

OK here's the story..........I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 QC, in black. the vehicle is washed and kept clean, and is waxed at least 2 times a year.......Well the Hood, as well as the door is starting to turn white...I took it to a shop nearby, and the owner used a device which looks somewhat like a Ohm meter to check the paint.........Upon doing the measurements he indicated that there were two things wrong..He stated that the paint was thinner in some areas and thicker in others, which equals a poor paint job...He also stated that it looked like they used a poor "Clear Coat" on my vehicle.........................He stated that because they make so many vehicles, and many of them at different locations, 3 vehicles made in the same year can get 3 different paint jobs, using different materials, He also stated that he saw the same thing a couple of years ago on the Dodge Neons, where the entire vehicle started fading...
Now who would think that after 6 years, i would be having to get a paint job...Like 38K dollars wasn't enough, i have to look to paint the vehicle at a additional cost. Not that i want to, its just that the paint is really starting to look bad, for a 2002 year vehicle..
Does anyone know of a good paint shop in the Maryland/Virginia/DC area, that warrantys their work, and wont charge an ARM AND A LEG.......

If you don't wait too long, they may be able to rough up the clear coat and just re-clear it, if you don't have any serious stone chips. If I was to have mine re-painted, I know I'd have them shoot the clear on at least twice if not 3 times. The Dodge paint is really poorly done-way too thin. Looks great when you first get it, but holds up to everyday driving terrible.
