he didn't

He used 3 inch body.

2 inch level in front and 1 inch blocks in rear

I have 6 inch suspension lift with 34's on a 2wd. They look pretty good at that. Mines a Rough Country lift

the body lift came with the truck when i bought it. i belive you can get the for around $300 with a $350 install price. the 2.5" leveling kit came from daystar for $95. i installed it myself. then the 1" block for the rear was free from my work and i also put that in myself. and the 35x12.5R20 pro comp xtreme a/t's came from 4wheelparts for $340 a tire, and thanks to hammers notification, i got the for buy 3 get the 4th free

I got a 2 inch leveling kit and 35 BF Mud on a 06 1500 4X4 megacab and they do not rub
Any where but they are really tight, if I make full turn they will be less then an 1inch
Of separation from the fenders and if I hit bump or something a full turn I bet they will rub.
