Default Windshield?

okay so i have a question about the windshields on these trucks. i bought the truck last Aug, and 3 months after buying it a rock hit my windshield and put a big chip in it, so i had it replaced, a month later another rock this time they filled it, i went on deployment for 5 months got back and drove to az again another chip, so i replaced it again last week, and tonight another rock, another big chip. im getting tired of replacing the windshield, in the past 9 months i have called my insurance co 3 times to replace it. has any one else had a problem with the windshields getting cracked/chipped? is there anything i can do to protect it? thanks

Man! That is wild! My glass has been ok, and it has been hit a few times. Maybe you need to learn how to fix the glass yourself. LOL

Your problem is that you keep replacing your windshield. I got nearly a dime sized chip just a few months after getting the truck and just haven't gotten around to replacing it and guess what? No more since!

Of course, I'm kidding with you. Maybe the problems is you tend to tail gate?? No offense, just asking. Following too closely does 2 very bad things. It wears your front end paint job away like sand paper and it gets your windshield cracked (either by stones or by your head hitting it when you rear end someone.) If this isn't your case then you are henceforth known as "Crack Man".

yeah idk it happens on the major highways in san diego... sometimes i do tail gate but the times im not is when it happens lol. two out of the 4 times i was getting on the highway and a big semi truck kicks them up or it flys off the top of the truck. the second time i was tailgating so i prob deserved that one, and the time b4 this one idk what happend for sure... there was a small chip in the corner and i didnt see it till after i put it through the carwash and they finished washing it, and i had a 8" crack in the windsheld lol. i guess its just my bad luck. ive never replaced or had to fix a window in any other car or truck i have owned ever, and this 4 times in 9 months, plus some one tried to break into it while i was on deployment and had to replace the passanger side window (btw they are more expensive then the windsheld... i guess its double pane) idk thanks for your help guys
