End of era, truck for sale
ORIGINAL: 94rt10ohio
MPGs did have a little to do with it, that and just a change of pace. Chances are I will go back to a truck in 2-3 years. The Hybrid will be out, will let it prove itself, and depending on that and prices at that time will help to make my decision.
The car is 18/28. I did some research and found the highway miles are no joke. You can easily get 26 up to 30 depending on weatherconditions. The cityjust depends on your driving habbits obviously, but when you do not feel like playing short shifting helps a lot. That vs. the Hemi which is always in the 14s gives me an additional 90 miles per 15 gallons, or about a savings of $18 per 15 gallons. Does not sound like much but figure 15K a year and you have a nice pile of $$.
Now I will be hauling stuff in the SRT bed

I'm actually getting ready to leave on Thursday in the truck for a 2500 mile "family vacation" to TN/PA/NY. Taking the truck because of the room both in the passenger area and the bed. Just wouldn't be able to take all my stuff in the Honda!
The Ram gets about 330 miles per 27 gallon tank. Coming back from Dallas a few weeks ago (5 hrs on the highway), I didn't break 16 mpg! The Honda will get close to 400 highway miles from a 16.9 gallon tank. It also drinks regular unleaded, unlike the truck. It's great around town and for all my trips up to the VA by myself, but we still have to factor in the extra gas money for road trips in the truck. Still cheaper than flying!!!
Good luck with the new car. You have pictures up here yet?
No good pics yet. Weather permitting this weekend. I pick up the car Thursday night. Keep an eye out in the OT section, will have DevilsReject in the subject.
In case you do not know what the CE was, here is Daytona 2002.
