My opinion is to go with the 22's. If you are not concerned about the ride the 24's would look nice also but would ride worse.

How big of a wheel should you go if you plan to go off road on occassion? Is 22" too big?

I would go for a set of Night Runner 22's. I am a bit biased though.

well jay, the stock look is my idea of the best rim...but big horn, 24s are the new 22s....if you want an eye catcher, get the 24s...of course, ride quality and the bank account will suffer, the tires will be about 300 bucks more than 20s, but hey! at least everyone will appreciate them

Are 22's alright for off road? Meaning will have to get them balanced every time I go off road? Just asking because I heard that anything bigger than a 20" wheel off roading throws them out of balance (any truth to this)?

any more than 20 for off roading is a bad idea. if it's harsh off-road, even the 20's aren't good, though they might make it. you need more sidewall to allow the tire to flex on and over obstacles without damaging the rim and taking some of the shock. if you plan on offroading, stick with 20s or less, definately not 24s.

My personal opinion is 17's. I prefer to see more rubber and enjoy ride quality. Seeing nothing more than just a chromerim with a "rubber band" around it is just plain cheesey to me but to each their own
