wow 11 mpg on highway..... try driving 55 mph on the highway because speed do make differences on mpg. more u go fast more air pushing you.

i got 21 mpg on highway depending on hills going 55 mph downhill on highway. try not use brake a lot because it use engine power to slow down. since u have different gear ratio i am not sure so other will chime in.

Like 04 Hemi said, drivers habit plays a huge role in mpg. Driving 80mph down the freeway will be a huge dip from going 65mph. Others on here have noted a 1-2 mpg gain from a programmer...unless you can find a used unlocked one buying it for gas efficency alone won't be worth it. They're about $400+ and depending on how much you drive itcould take a year+ to break even.

Check your air filter and all the easy stuff first...you could even check the gap on your spark plugs or just replace them. Does it feel like you're getting excess drag from your brakes?

oh yea your truck powerwagon so tires also play role in mpg. if it is 33' ir something then its the tires with just more rolling resistant.

your winch also weight your truck front end down making the engine work just a bit more than normal hemi quad cab.

Tires are a BIG one.. Make sure they are filled properly (the closer to the max pressure the more mileage you get but you also get the most wear and tear too..). If you are driving around with big *** mud tires your mileage will suck.

Air filter is another big one, make sure its clean, might want to invest in a reusable one that allows more air to pass through.

Oil is another thing, make sure you keep up on it, may want to switch to a synthetic.

Make sure all your fluids are clean and up to date on changes.

Driver habit can make a huge difference, keep you foot out of it, dont floor it at every stop light you come to (unless your putting some dip ricer in its place)

You may want to think about upgrades - a catback exhaust, headers and a new intake can help dramatically, but your looking at 2 grand easily there.

Programers workfor a 1 or mpg differenceon there own, most work best with an upgraded exhaust and intake to completely take advantage of what they can do.

Remove any excess weight, taking your tailgate off and replacing it with a netted one can increase mileage by a few mpgs.

And if none of that helps... Im sorry to say your screwed...

I alsohave an '06 PW, andam experiencing similar mileage as you. The PW is built for capability, not economy. I just look at it as the price I have to pay for having the most capable and badass productionpickup on the market. I'm not rich, and gas prices are really getting to me too. But to me, it's worth it.

It takes $200 to fill my truck and I get about 400 miles highway driving out of that.

I have an 05 power wagon. It has 37" tires filled to 50 P.S.I., I also punched the cats, put on a cold air intake with a K&N filter, also have superchips programmer set to performance. I can get 25 MPG on a flat haul on the highways of florida. I maintain 55 MPH anything above or below that causes a loss in economy.

Another big player is the 4.56 gear ratio pulling that heavier than normal ram around. It is NOT going to get any decent mileage

I was about to mention the gears...

The power wagon comes with 4.56s gears from the factory, most Hemi Rams come with 3.55 or 3.21 gears. The 4.56s make your engine run at higher RPM, burning more fuel, but also help with acceleration and delivering power offroad. The power wagon is also heavier due to the winch and offroad suspension. The only way to save on gas is to downgrade to 3.92s (a good balance of power and economy in my opinion) or 4.10s, but that will run you over $1000, so you might as well just spend that on gas and keep the power.
