just ordered a ez down kit for my tailgate today off ebay for
$65 the only reason i got it cus i droped my tailgate by accdent
once and i dont want that to happen again dosent sound good at all when that happens plus it looks cool when it goes down slow

had mine a little over a year now. it's awesome. always comes in handy when you're carrying a bunch of stuff and need to drop the gate with one hand.

just got mine in from ebay today also... put it on, works great but I only paid half what you did, shipping and all... and yes it was brand new.

I have it. It works great. The only thing is the round pad with the shrink wrap should be about 6" from the top of the cable. If not the cable will try to pop out of the door when closing the gate. This will make more sense when you install the EZ down. Also...dont over tighten the lower shock mount bolt that threads into the gate.

I got one for my dads 03 2500 and he loves it. Hes getting up there in age andour gates are a little heavy for him anymore. Only problem is, when be borrows my truck, he lets the gate slam down cause he is so used to his gatecoming down slow. haha

I payed $65 also....

Did you install this yet? I read that there could be fit issues with the installation on 2007 Rams.
