I want to do this to my 02 4.7 ram, but hav'ent been able to find enough info on it. From my understanding of this post, the transmission for the 4.7 and 5.7 will work together, you just need the computer, engine and harness? Is there anything else that is needed? I would love to do this in the spring if I can find the engine and parts. Anyone got one in North Carolina they want to sell? Anyone want to buy a good used 4.7?

 

I am thinking of doing the same thing to my 2000 Ram 1500. What type of modifications did you have to do to the engine mounts? I was looking at using the engine and transmission from a wreck. This will give me the engine harness and computer for the assembly. Other then getting it hooked to my original harness, Are there any other big problems that anyone has run into?

 

How about one with a 5 speed?I wonder if the trans. would hold up?

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 and am thinking about doing the Hemi swap. I have to, my 4.7 is toast! I was wondering if you would offer me some information on what I need to do the swap. I understand your tranny just lined right up to the Hemi, I was wondering if the Hemi would line up to my 02 tranny as well. Any help would be awesome. How is your truck doing these days?

Now that it has been six months, can you post again about how it is working? Have you had any problems? Where did you get the HEMI engine? What did you do with the 4.7? I'd love to do a swap like you did.

 

I was thinking of putting a SRT V10 engine in my Geo Metro, I wonder If I need to replace the tranny to.


But, on a Real note, I am wondering how it worked out for you to.

 

hey i need some help are the trans the same i have an 02 and stuck an 2005 hemi motor in it so will the 2002 4.7 trans work with 2005 hemi set up
