After getting an estimate of $700[:-]to fix two tiny paint bubbles around the wheel well on my 04 2500 diesel 4x4, I took it to the dealer only to be told that Im out of my bumper-bumper and the corrosion perforation warranty doesnt cover paint bubbles. As I just poked around the lot thinking of what do next I was informed by a sales shark that there were tremendous rebates on trucks. Since I didnt really use the diesel to its full potential and the fact that fuel is close to $5 a gallon, I traded it in on a 08 1500 4x4 hemi with tons of options. I was able to get $6000 off in rebates and they gave me $6000 over black book for my diesel. I was stunned. I was in the dealer for 4 hrs and did not see one other customer. They are hurting. They had to jump start the trucks Ilookedat because they have been sitting on the lot for so long. Black book on my diesel was around 17k, and they gave me $23k for it. There are deals to be had...go get em. The dealer was able to get my payment exactly the same to the penny that I paid for the diesel and now I have a new truck with the lifetime pwrtrain warr. Sorry for the long post, just pretty excited thats all.
