Default Spare tire question

I didn't want to highjack a thread so I'm starting another one. On the discount tire thread someone mentioned the20" rim would not fit under the truck, only the steel wheel spare would (if I read it right). I want to get an OEM 20" wheel and replace it with the steel wheel I now have for a spare. This way I can do a 5 tire rotation. Why wouldn't the regular wheel fit under the truck? I'm asking because I don't want to go out on the street and take the tire off and see if it fits under the truck

Ok lets try it this way. Has anyone had a problem putting their "non spare tire" under the truck?

For the tire/rim to fit under, the hole for the hub needs to be large enough for the hook to go through it. I've got an 04 with stock 20's and I know that even with the center cap out, there is no way the spare tire hook will fit through it.

If you have a rim that allows the hub to be exposed on the outside (which i'm sure you don't want), it will fit.
