Having trouble getting headlight assemble out of truck. There is a clip that I cannot get out / headlight post out of clip.

Was able to get 1 headlight out but cannot get it to lock back into clip when I re-install.

Any suggestions?

 

I had to pull mine to change a bulb last weekend. All I did was remove the two bolts in front, remove the rubber plug in the front of the wheel well to get to a bolt on the back side and pull. There is a metal post on the back of the headlight assembly that clips in and it holds on pretty tight but it does pull out. At first I thought I was forgetting a bolt or something but on-line I found someone else who had done it and taken pics. Sorry I can't remember where I found the pics though. Hope this helps.
