Default Will my magacab haul a large toyhauler?

I have an 08 2wd maga cab 1500 with hemi. Im in the market for a toy hauler right now but im not sure how heavy I can go. Ive never pulled anything with this truck yet. I know that my truck is supposably on the 2500 frame but the way I see it,im still only running a hemi. Has anyonehauled anything heavy with a maga cab 1500? I dont want to screw up here.

Plenty of 2500s come with "only" the Hemi under the hood...

I have an 06 MC 1500 (Hemi, obviously), 3.73, towing a 2004 KZ Sportster, with a Goldwing in the back. GCW was 14,000 exactly, with the trailer weight at 7000. It does a decent job, although living in KS there's not a lot of steep grades. (Heck - there aren't ANY grades ;-) But I can tow at 70+ mph if I want to (which I don't), and it takes less than a minute to get there. My combination is right at the published limits according to Dodge, though.

Would a diesel do a better job? Certainly. I may upgrade someday, but I'm going to wait a year or two to see if Chrysler can improve on the BlueTec system. I'm reading too many horror stories about fuel mileage due to regens, etc.

My biggest concern is the 545RFE trans - I see a fair number of posts about problems with it. I think it was originally developed for the Jeep GC.
