Default Radio Problems

I recently picked up an '04 Ram 1500. I tried installing an aftermarket stereo but has having problems keeping the dang thing on, it acted like there was a loose connection. I pulled everything back apart to try and find the culpret but was unsuccessful. Now to further the issue I put the stock radio back in to make sure it wasn't just my connections and it doesn't work either. Seems like I blew a fuse or something but I couldn't find any blown under the hood and couldn't find any fuses at all in the cab to check. The backlights on the stock radio come on but no music. BTW the stock radio worked fine before I started screwing with all this. Anyone have any thoughts on what my problem is?

Thanks!

My guess is that you got a wire crossed or don't have a good ground somewhere.
