Default MPG

I have 3100 miles on my Ram. I just filled up and the over head monitor read 15.9 mpg. The actual was closer to 15.3 mpg. This is combined city and highway. Is this the norm? I am still learning since this is my first Dodge.

I get 13-13.5 city and on the highway I get about 19-20mpg. I stay withing 65-70mph on the freeway and never use the curse control.I use 89 fuel from shell or chevron. I have an 08 ram 5.7l 4x4 with 2500 mile on it

My over head is consistantly wrong, it is always 1-1.5mpg high or low of the actual hand calculated average. I've yet to see any car, dodge or no, that had an accurate MPG indicator.

That's not a bad average...you're probably getting low 20's on the freeway which is good for a truck. Drive conservative in the city and it'll go up..

If I could drive as slow as 70-75 on the interstate, better than 18. Having said that, I get around 17.5. Around 15 on my commute (steady speed, few stops). What you're getting sound's 'bout right.
