Do the chips or programmers make the much of a diff if so which kind? i have a 5.9 and it wont even spin the tires.

 

5.9 is a Cummins, yes? If so, you will see big gains with a programmer. Minimal, with a gas engine.

 

But even still... the 5.9 should have enough power to spin the tires.... Maybe you need a tune up.... plugs.. wires.... Thottle body cleanings? air filter?check your fuel filter?

5.9L is the 360 Magnum. How long since tuned up? what gear in the rearend? Traction is a good thing. If it won't brake torque, then you have issues.

 

Blueyes, what mods have you done? You can get more HP from other mods than the programmer. The chip/programmer just optimizes performance WITH the mods.

 

The Superchips Flashpaq now supports the venerable old 5.9 and has some VERY solid gains. A properly tuned up truck with a good flowing cat-back exhaust, CAI and that tuner combo would make for a world of difference...
