I live in lima ohio and also got mine done at rainbow muffler. They wouldnt refund me anything and I told them it was BS because I figured they should at least have some clue of what they are doing to a vehicle before they do it and maybe warm the customer of what could happen it they do it. He told me they have never did those type of trucks before like it was so new and never seen on the roads before, come on, its a 06 hemi, everyones got em, its not like its a concept vehicle of some sort. Oh well i was just glad to get outta there, they got some real dirtballs that work there. Hope others read this before they got and waste their money like i did even though i can sell that muffler but i still lost some money....oh well, now i know. Hope this post helps others. Thanks to the ones that diagnosed my problem for me.

i would have simply put back the front resonator, could have made it quite a bit better.

i can deal with the MDS sound.

just makes me have a bit heavier foot trying to not let it kick in, or just turn overdrive off or tow haul on.

My 06 2500 5.7 6sp hemi. dosent have mds, Lock out the OD and MDS goes away, if you want to just replace the mufler, keep the stock ex system, if you want to run duals, than you got to remove the Y pipe, dump the resonater and run two free flowing muflers.

You can't run a H pipe if you have 4x4, thiers no room and the left EX has a longer way to travel than the right ( transfer case is in the way )

I changed out my stock ex, removed the Y pipe, gas mileage is a huge improvement over stock, but the type of mufler I went with has cause me nothing but grief ( dyno max ultra flow ) I wnet to the mangna flow version of this mufler, and it's awsome.

In order to keep the same pipes and not have to run new ex pipe from the cats back the mangna Flow was the better option.

But muflers that have two inlets and two out lets are not as good as two muflers....

Hi!

I think that i´m in the right place here. i installed a new flowmaster Kit 17423 on my 07 RAM Hemi Sport 4 weeks ago. Since then, my tranny shift´s really bad, i mean it sounds that it tries to get to lower RPM as soon as possible and try to stay there, i don´t know how could explain it better. Maybe it´s the MDS that´s kickin´ in but it´s sometimes difficult to get the tranny shift back in a lower gear. Especially when i drive uphill and i try to acclerate the tranny stays in higher gears and i had to press the pedal almost all the way down, then the tranny shifts up 2 gears and the Hemi will push it up the hills like crazy.

Do you think it could be getting better with a programmer, like a Predator or Superchip???? it would be nice if someone could help me.....

I have an 06 Hemi and I installed the AeroTurbine AT3030XL and left the stock resonator on and it sounds great. Also have MDS turned off using the Superchips tuner.
