Has anyone upgraded their standard OTIS overhead console to an EVIC overhead console on the newer 06-08 model Rams? Any issues with MPG, DTE calibration? Will a CTD module work on a Hemi?

 

I did, Just plugged it in.

I think it is nothing more then a display. When I hooked mine up it had the same numbers on it. All of that info is stored in the computer.

I only did it for the homelink buttons. Now I do not need to keep my opener in the truck.

 

I read your message about installing that evic in your ram truck I am interested in doing the same thing did you have any problems with your temp readings also what is the part number on the evic you installed. Thanks JD

 

Is anyone able to provide detail (part #'s, etc.) to do this? Does the Temp gauge also work? I am looking to upgrade mine, and I am interested in the process.

 

I plugged my 07 evic into my buddies 04 and it wouldn't work.

 

I think whoever said it worked might have just had a better OTIS, I've tried a few varying years, the temp display never comes up but everything else works great. Wish I could find one that works because you can program stuff with it (door locks, flash, horn, maint reminder, etc. from the EVIC itself).

 

anybody have a 08 that didn't come with an overhead console that you put one in?
