EVIC overhead console upgrade
It's relatively easy to add one, you just need the console, an OTIS (unless you can find an EVIC that will work, for the difference between the 2, click here), the bracket if your truck doesn't have it already, the wiring harness (or at least the plug and alot of extra wire) and a willingness to hack into your existing wiring harness. I did this in my wife's Liberty for a grand total outlay of $30-40 (gotta love ebay and junkyards).
I bought the EVIC pn:56042756AJ and the TPMS sensors.
I did a self test and it passed.
I can get:
Direction
Miles till service
Trip miles
I can't get:
Miles till empty
Temperature
Avg Miles per gallon
Any ideas???

Mine came with 56049706AD
I bought (5)-52088990AC tire sensors
I want the TPMS feature if I can, I don't care about the Homelink, that's just a easy way to break into your home, when your truck is parked outside.

Oh, you actually want the TPMS. Well then you have a problem. I just dug through all the parts mans from 03-05 and there is no on board TPMS feature in any of the EVIC's or integrated in the dash on the Ram's. I find this odd because my wife's Liberty has the capability if I install an alternate EVIC (it has the TPMS light in the dash, but my Ram doesn't). I installed a Jeep EVIC+PSI accidentally in my truck. Some of the settings worked, it dinged non-stop because it couldn't find any sending units and the temp readout didn't work. If you want the TPMS bad enough, you may have to settle for a trade off of certain things in the console not working.
