Since my dash is cracked I am thinking about replacing the top two pieces of my dash myself. The dealer told me worse case that it would be 6 hours labor=540 bucks because they said they are not sure how much into the dash they have to go. But it appears that the top pieces would come off without taking the whole dash apart but I am not sure.I know the piece closest to the windshield just pops off, held by clips. Has anyone had there dash apart or any techs out there know something that I don't(I am sure is plenty)Thanks in advance for any help.

i've had a diffrent car apart that far that top pad should only be just bolted in after you pop every panel off
