36in wide tire question

36in wide tire question
The four tires above are the new tires that I am looking at. I was originally looking at the IROK Radials, but the way the tread pattern set up it seemed like they might struggle on snow, ice, and rain. So I have moved my search to these 4 tires, which are the best out there. The current size that I am looking at in these tires are 36x15.5x18 and I was wondering how much lift I would need to clears these beasts and how much they would cut my gas mileage. I am running 33x11.5's right now and getting about 15.3 with a 2005 4.7 QCSB 4x4, but once I get the bigger tires I would also install 4.56 gears and a Detroit LSD. I would be getting MT classic 18x10 rims which I believe have 4.625 backspacing on them. Would I need a 4in suspension lift w/3in body lift to clear these, or would I be able to go with a 2in level kit and 3in body kit with some minor trimming? Sorry about beating this subject into the ground but I want to make sure of what I am getting before I spend 4000 dollars on all of it.
Thanks,
Eric

RE: 36in wide tire question
I really don't know just how much lift you are going to need for a 36"x15.5" tire. I know that 5.5" will clear a 36x12.5 tire.
As for the tire choice, you can't go wrong with ANY MT/Cepek tire IMO.
Just pick the right one for your driving habits. Mainly on road then go with the ATZ, for a daily driver that you want for rough play on the weekends then I'd go for the FCIIs. For a more weekend play truck then the MTZs or Mud Countries would be a great choice.

RE: 36in wide tire question
Well I have a towing package so I would assume that I have 3.92 gears on the truck right now. I am running 285x70x17 (33x11.5) on the truck right now, but going with 36's would lower my RPM's and going with 4.56's would just basically bring it back to stock settings. I was wondering what would be worse on my suspension... 37x12.5's or 36x15.5's. I would rather have the wider tire for better traction. Anyone have a similar set up? I am not worried about power or gass cuz I am going to completly redo my intake and exhaust system to all aftermarket hi-flow stuff. I am between the FCII's and the ATZ's.
