there is some play in the shaft when i tried moving it by hand. also between 45 and 60 mph there is vibration comming from the rear of the truck.i replaced the diff fluid when i did the one u joint and found a small chunk but that was over a year ago and it ran fine until now. hopefully its nothing major, i cant even afford the lift and tires i want. college is eating all of my money

Do you have the limited slip differential? I've seen a lot of people on here talk about problems with that breaking.

Some drive shaft play is normal.

When you shift from R to D are you stopped or still rolling?

C clip. Take your truck in for differential service, hopefully it is not to late.

By they way, if your truck is a 02-05 and has less than 70K it should be covered under warranty.

****, another one bites it. don't drive that thing around without taking a look at that diff first!! you might have caught it soon enough, don't ruin it.
